So, I am on a quest to find the perfect foundation for my very pale skin colouring. I have tried at least 20 different foundations all at the lightest shade and all to no avail! So, after hearing that Nicola of Girls Aloud fame had came out with a new makeup range for paler skin I was excited! Finally, I thought, a solution to my makeup desperation! No more orange tide marks, and different head different body moments but a new fabulous pale skinned foundation to compliment my white skin. Well, how wrong could I have been!
The foundation itself, available from ASOS priced £12 pounds is fairly pricey for the very small amount of product you actually get. Its a mousse foundation, that comes in a small pot in three diffferent shades: Porcelain, Ivory and White. I purchased the Ivory shade and consider myself to have fairly pale skin so I'm guessing the White is for ultra ultra pale maybes even albino skin types.
Anyways, moving on the the actual foundation. It was a greasy affair, a very strange texture that felt oil/greasy and didnt feel very pleasant at all. I must say my skin type is combinatin but it left my skin looking dry and weirdy flaky. Not a nice look. The makeup loitered in my pores and made my complexion look more tired and washed out than luminous. My skin was left with a strange bluey/grey hue which was again not very pleasant, coverage was minimal and was very very easily removed accidentally. As for the colour, well, it was perfect. A great match for my skin colour, shame about the consistency and coverage though. If, say, MAC did the same shade in their Studio Fix range, I would buy 10 pots right now. So all in all, great colour but shame about the foundation! 3/10
